There are several ways to improve the indoor air quality of your house or apartment. The simplest and most effective in the short term is to open the window. In technical jargon, this is called uncontrolled ventilation.

Apart from the opening width of the windows, there is little to adjust here; the decisive factors are the wind and the outside temperature. But if you can ventilate a living space uncontrollably, surely there is controlled ventilation?

Yes, in fact, with modern ETS ventilation systems you can control the ventilation of your office, classroom or home down to the last detail. The benefits include better control of air exchange, less noise, fewer allergies due to less pollen, and significantly lower heating costs because heat is recovered.

Controlled ventilation makes sense for all homes, whether multi-family or single-family, new or old. An added value can always be achieved for indoor climate and air quality.

Operating mode

In thermal mode, the electronically controlled motor changes the running direction every 65 seconds.

The outflowing air first heats up the ceramic thermal element. After the change of the running direction, the temperature is transferred to the incoming air. Thus, heated, fresh air flows into the room. The air volume can be regulated in 3 levels.

In addition, the system can also be used in pure supply air or exhaust air mode, e.g. if heat recovery is not required in summer.

The operation of the system is child-safe with a remote control only. The status LED can be switched off if necessary, so that one has e.g. no disturbing source of light in the dark room at night.

Mounting

The installation is done from the inside through a 170mm core drill hole. The outdoor unit is pushed into the core drill hole from the inside.

The sealing sleeve unfolds after insertion and seals from the outside. This means that neither ladders nor scaffolding are required, even for installation on higher floors.

After foaming and sealing the outdoor unit, only the ceramic storage tank and indoor unit are installed. The system is then immediately ready for use.

Funding

Funding

With energy class A+, the ET-HRV64 ETS system is one of the most effective and economical ventilation systems on the market.

The german "Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau" (KfW) supports the energy-efficient refurbishment of houses as part of the "Energy-efficient refurbishment" funding program.

A central component of this KfW funding is controlled residential ventilation in general and decentralized residential ventilation with heat recovery in particular.

For this reason, KfW also promotes the installation of ventilation systems. Of course, the eligible devices also include the ETS model ET-HRV64, which masters decentralized living space ventilation with heat recovery particularly efficiently. As a funding measure, homeowners can choose between a low-interest loan or a percentage grant towards the cost of the renovation.
